The APM-16 average reading power meter is designed to keep up with the increasing complexity of digital communication systems.
The BIRD Model 43 and most other Wattmeters available today were designed to measure power with constant amplitude and sine waveforms.
Modern wireless communication systems can use a variety of digital techniques to combine many channels of voice data into a complex, composite RF signal.
Measuring such signals with a conventional Wattmeter can produce unacceptable errors.
The APM-16 uses active circuitry to deliver ±5% accuracy for multiple access technologies, such as CDMA, TDMA, FDMA and other digitally encoded communication systems.
- Specially designed for RF power measurements in PCS, cell phones, ESMR, paging and similar communication systems.
