What is SATELLITE PTT?
SATELLITE PTT (Push-To-Talk) is a two-way radio system that uses the Iridium® satellite network. It can be used as a communication tool in remote and isolated areas where there are no mobile phones or fixed network infrastructure. Even if the terrestrial network infrastructure is rendered unusable by human or natural disasters, SATELLITE PTT can provide stable backup, independent of other networks.
Group Communication

Unlike satellite phones, IC-SAT100 users can immediately start talking to all radios in the same talkgroup, just by pressing the transmission button (PTT).
Broad Global Communication

The Iridium ® satellite network covers the entire earth, including the two poles, and can provide global wide area communications anywhere on the planet*.

Communication in Real Time

Using 66 Iridium ® low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites, IC-SAT100 provides low latency communication and broader, more reliable network coverage, compared to geosynchronous equatorial orbit (GEO) satellites.

You can install the antenna and radio with a single LAN cable (Maximum 100 m - 328 ft).
Installation in Automobiles

You can place the antenna on the roof to use the radio in a vehicle. The IC-SAT100M features Bluetooth® and allows hands-free operation while driving.
Interconnection between Conventional Radios and IP Telephones

With a VE-PG4 RoIP gateway, The IC-SAT100 or IC-SAT100M can be interconnected with an IP phone, IP, LTE, Digital IDAS * 1 and analog transceivers. (Planned feature)

IP Phone Interconnection

The built-in simplified SIP server can assign extension numbers to IDAS™ radio terminals, advanced IP radio terminals and analog radio user groups, as well as IP phones. A radio user can initiate telephone calls. Telephone users can make individual or group calls to connected radio users.
External Equipment Connection

The public address system, the mermaid, warning light and other external devices can be connected to the VE-PG4. When detecting an emergency signal, Users can initiate an emergency notification from a digital transceiver, an IP transceiver or public address system.
Multi-Site Connection between VE-PG4
Two or more VE-PG4s can be connected via LAN or LTE (4G) and 3G networks. The communication area can be flexibly expanded and dispersed radio sites can be connected, regardless of the distance or the radio system used.
LTE Transceiver Gateway

By installing a custom SIM card into the built-in LTE module, The VE-PG4 can interface IP501H/IP501M LTE transceivers with conventional radio systems and IP100H IP communication terminals. GPS position information from the LTE transceiver can be received and transferred to a PC.
Interconnection between Different Radio Systems

The VE-PG4 interfaces with two or more radio systems, even when systems use different bands and different categories. All received audio is connected to the opposite radio system, so one radio user can talk to all connected radio users. The built-in digital voice converter converts analog audio to IDAS™ compatible digital audio.

The VE-PG4 is a versatile RoIP (Radio over IP Network) gateway unit, that seamlessly interconnects LMR radios, LTE radios, IP communication terminals, IP telephone systems and external devices. In addition to the IP network (LAN / WAN), The built-in LTE module * provides communication coverage practically throughout the country.
