Adapter Module for Seismic Alert

The Seismic Alert Adapter Module is a device that allows us to convert the seismic alert signal provided by a weather radio, through a 3.5 mm plug connector, to obtain a voltage output and activate the YONUSA Seismic Warning Siren .
- Provides a power supply of 13.5Vdc at 2Amp through alternating current connection (127 or 220 Vac) .
- It has support for a 12Vdc-1.3A/hr rechargeable battery to have a backup of up to 3 days ( PL-1.2-12 recommended) .
- Terminal block terminals for the connection of the YONUSA Seismic Warning Siren, via SIR+ (Siren Positive Terminal) and SIR- (Siren Negative Terminal).
- Power supply: 12-14 VDC input
- Supply current: 1.2 Amperes
- Standby consumption: 1 Watt
- Alarm Consumption: 2.2 Watts.
- Internal battery support 12Vdc 1.3 Amp/hr: 7 days
- External battery support 12Vdc 30 Amp/hr: 50 days
- Siren Wired Range: 15 meters
- Dimensions: 14 x 16.5 x 8.5 cm
- Weight: .4 Kgs
- Material: High Impact Polystyrene (flame retardant, B0 standard)
- Type: NEMA 2 (use in dust and drizzle)
It has two LED indicators to indicate: 1- Device power on 2- Seismic Alert Activated
Provides the necessary power for the wiring of the Seismic Warning Siren approximately 15 meters away.
It is compatible with the YONUSA MULTIPOINT device for activating the YONUSA Seismic Warning Siren wirelessly. (See Multipoint technical sheet)
Operation and equipment
A meteorological radio is used which is capable of receiving the signal emitted by the Mexican Seismic Warning System (SASMEX), which is a signal that is transmitted openly, as long as you have this radio. This signal is transmitted on 7 different channels, in which the channel is selected on the radio according to the area in which the equipment will be installed, leading to the next point.
The seismic alert is only transmitted in highly seismic areas of the country such as: Mexico City, Puebla, Acapulco, Chilpancingo, Morelia, Oaxaca, Toluca and Morelos.
