SYSCOM

A stabilizer or anti-torsion arm as it is also known, It is an element intended to hold the tower at a certain height to prevent movement due to strong wind currents.

Unlike a flange (which is attached at one point on each face of the tower), a stabilizer is attached at two points per face, that is,, At the same height there are 6 fastening points, which avoids excessive torsion in the tower and better rigidity in the structure.

When is a stabilizer installed?

A stabilizer is not a mandatory part of a typical tower assembly. Generally a stabilizer is installed when:
- There is an antenna with a large drag surface (equal to or greater than 1m in diameter).
- When there are concentrations of winds due to the relief or conditions of the area.
- In high-precision wireless links.
