i3™ Series smoke detectors with siren and/or relay, represent a significant technological advance in conventional detection, feature-rich for simple installation, Instant inspection and intelligence to reject false alarms.
 
All i3 Series detectors come equipped with automatic fouling sensitivity compensation and mathematical curve fitting algorithms. These algorithms minimize the incidence of false alarms caused by short-term effects, such as electromagnetic induction and/or radio frequency interference and by long-lasting effects such as dust accumulation. When 2-wire i3 detectors are connected to the 2WMOD2 loop test and maintenance module or to a panel compatible with the i3 protocol (i3 Ready™), they will generate a remote maintenance signal, when any detector enters a cleaning and/or freeze failure condition when the ambient temperature surrounding the detector is below 5°C. To measure the sensitivity level of any i3 detector, the SENSRDR inspection module is used, with which the numerical value of sensitivity expressed in percentage of obscuration per foot can be displayed in a few seconds.
