The R8100 is the ultra-portable of laboratory equipment. It has all the functionalities and testing capabilities, industry standard communications systems analyzer, but it also has an internal battery, Top-notch ergonomics and a set of advanced features are optional.

With the R8100, There is absolutely no trade-off between power and total portability. The Class 3 Mil-Spec vibration and shock rating is proof of its suitability for almost any LMR test environment.

TOTAL PORTABILITY

Each R8100 ships with a lithium-ion battery that weighs just 490g. The battery powers the unit for up to 90 minutes and can be changed in the field in less than 30 seconds. Just open the lid, Remove the battery and insert another into the side of the unit. During VCA feeding, The R8100 charges the internal battery and when the VAC power is disconnected, The unit moves seamlessly from VAC to Vcc without interruption. The R8100 display shows the available battery capacity at all times. Replacement batteries and a separate charger can also be purchased for applications requiring extended portability.

HIGH PERFORMANCE TRACKING GENERATOR

Our Tracking Generator option provides a built-in instrument that configures the RF generator in a scanning mode. The extraordinary dynamic range and response time provide an invaluable tool for measuring and servicing RF filters and combining networks such as IF filters and Duplexers. The wide selection of display and marker functions ensure fast and accurate measurements. Antenna return loss and VSWR measurements can be made with the use of the optional return loss jumper (R8-VSWR).

ADVANCED FEATURES

The "Dual-Display" function, showing carrier and modulation range on the same screen, is included as a standard feature with every R8100, as well as a tracking generator and cable fault locator. A unique feature of the R8100 is the ability to select the power meter scale in bar graph mode: choose from 5, 50 or 150W. Finally, The R8100 also offers the ability to display menu selections in French, German and Spanish.

UPPER SPECTRUM ANALYZER

The R8100 comes equipped with a superior spectrum analyzer with a noise level well below -140 dBm, super fast signal acquisition, 4 markers (2 standard) and a variable vertical scale available up to 1 dB per division.

EXPANDABLE AND UPDATABLE

The R8100's software-based architecture allows you to add software options and upgrades in the field. So, if your needs change later, Simply order the feature or protocol you need and activate it by entering a 16-digit option key using the front panel keypad.
