The environment where 2-way radios are used can vary from small and large companies to the public sector where the equipment is capable of operating with digital technology, analog and even in mixed mode. The NX-3000 series offers great flexibility with NXDN digital protocols, DMR and also analog systems, all this in a single radio. The equipment includes these digital protocols that can be selected according to your needs, giving you the freedom to migrate to digital or expand your communication environment at your own pace. Also, offers the ability to add or limit special features.

The NXDN™ protocol perfectly supports operating on real 6.25 kHz channels that use FDMA technology, providing greater coverage compared to analog technology and other digital protocols that operate at 12.5 and 25 kHz. It can operate in conventional and trunking modes. Optionally, high-level encryption such as AES and DES can be added. Its new Gen2 development offers greater data processing, great flexibility and also the ability to link up to 1,000 sites.

DMR is a cost-effective solution for simple systems. Thanks to TDMA technology, 2 slots are offered; DMR can get 2 talk paths within the 12.5 kHz bandwidth, effectively doubling the capacity of a single frequency and/or repeater. KENWOOD radios and repeaters are DMR Tier II (conventional) compatible. KENWOOD radios also support Tier III (trunking) using pre-existing infrastructure.

Analog technology offers channels at 25 kHz and 12.5 kHz. They are capable of operating on conventional systems using FleetSync signaling as well as DTMF and MDC1200. If necessary, it can be compatible with LTR trunk systems.

Digital and Analog Mixed Mode

For a gradual migration at your own pace, NX-3000 radios include mixed mode, that is,, The device will automatically respond to analog or digital calls on the same channel as the case may be. Also as a visual aid, An icon will be displayed on the screen indicating the technology being used.

Designed with Great Flexibility

It offers the ability to choose between different digital protocols and allows you to expand channel capacity. NX-3000 radios are designed to operate in different systems, from simple communication to large coverage applications using the Multi-Site digital system with IP networks. For very demanding applications this series of radios can also operate in Type C and Gen2 Trunking mode where call traffic is very high or even when communication needs to extend to different states and countries.
